THE WINNER SPINNER!

You’ll need one magnetic spinner*.  If you haven’t read my full post on the winner spinner you won’t want to miss it!  It gives you a long list of game ideas that are so easy to run and super fun for the kids.  Check out the full post here.

One Circle

On a whiteboard or chalkboard, draw a circle and divide it into two sections.  Write the words Fact and Opinion.

Facts Circle

Choose a student to come to the front of the group to spin.  Give the child a word to use in his/her sentence.  The child then has to speak a fact or opinion (depending on what was spun) using that word.

Once the child is done, he/she can choose the next person.  Continue play until everyone has had a turn or the allotted time runs out!

Words that I have used for this game are below.  You can use these words, or whatever thematic words your students are working on.
